    Hi Guru
i'll install SQL Server 2000 clusteringnext week. i got this information from system admin: 4 processors per node(we will use active/passive cluster, 2 nodes). i'm reading the document and i'm not sure what i'll put in the field of "processor license for" on "choose licensing mode" screen. could you please tell me what i need to put in "4" or "8"?

or anyone has the answer will be great.

    thanks,

    karen

From a technical standpoint, it does not really make much difference, but from a licensing standpoint, of course it does.

If you are running two nodes, each with 4 CPUs, then you would enter 4 CPUs for each OS install.

Be sure that your "boss" understands hat the CPU-based licensing for SQL Server 2000 Enterprise is very, very expensive.
