Eventhough joined tables we are able to edit result pane's rows on SQL 2000 Server EnterpriseManager (select * from a, b where a.id=b.id)
Isthere any way to edit joined tables query's result on result pane via SSMS? We can edit one table's data with "Edit top 2000 Rows" but when we add atable and join it to the first table the result pane data is changed read only mode.
The same query’s results can be edited on Ent.Man but It can’t bedone on SSMS (SQL Server Manager Studio).
The article says "Queries that include columns from more than one table or view can't be updated" What is your opinion about it?

Do you have any comments how to edit the results without writingupdate query?

    Welcome to the forum!
To be honest, SSMS is not the tool of choice for such data manipulation. Maybe it's better to get into the habit to write UPDATE statements?
