I am getting one of the same messages you had listed. I'm unable to figure out how to get this fixed. Did you ever get any feedback for the following? 4)Unable to perform a SETUSER to the requested username 'dbo' because the username is invalid for database 'ABCDEF'. The step failed. The particular user that keeps defaulting here has been removed from our Network/SQL system completely. I have tried several things but can't seem to get anything to work. HELP!! Thanks
Not sure exactly what you are asking me here. I am new to SQL2005, and training classes keep getting canceled. I’m learning by trial and error….and reading. Under the SQL Server Configuration Manager I have changed the following to SQL Server running w/log on as = ADSQLAdminSQL Server Analysis Services running w/logon as = ADSQLAdminSQL Server Agent running w/logon as = ADSQLAdmin Originally they were set to the departed user that the SETUSER is attempting to use.
In this case please open a new question and post in relevant forum sections only. follow up in SQL 2005 general DBA section.
