How to fix failed job

Hi,<br /><br /> There are few jobs on the server which are failing continously and they through following error messages as below.<br /><br />1)Executed as user: NT AUTHORITYSYSTEM. sqlmaint.exe failed. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 22029). The step failed.<br /> <br />2)Executed as user: vanivani_aps. OLE DB provider 'MSDAORA' reported an error. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 7399) [SQLSTATE 01000] (Error 7312) OLE DB error trace [OLE/DB Provider 'MSDAORA' IDBInitialize::Initialize returned 0x80004005: ]. [SQLSTATE 01000] (Error 7300). The step failed. <br /><br />3)Unable to connect to SQL Server '(local)'. The step failed<br /><br />4)Unable to perform a SETUSER to the requested username 'dbo' because the username is invalid for database 'ABCDEF'. The step failed.<br /> <br />5)The job failed. Unable to determine if the owner (VANIvani_aps) of job Getting DB Details has server access (reason: Could not obtain information about Windows NT group/user 'vanivani_aps'. Hi,

Yes the report file of the job is checked. Its a database backup job using database maintenance plan which is scheduled.
Every time it throws the error

Executed as user: NT AUTHORITYSYSTEM. sqlmaint.exe failed. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 22029). The step failed.


and another job is throwing error as

Executed as user: dbo. sqlmaint.exe failed. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 22029). The step failed

I am getting one of the same messages you had listed. I'm unable to figure out how to get this fixed. Did you ever get any feedback for the following?
4)Unable to perform a SETUSER to the requested username 'dbo' because the username is invalid for database 'ABCDEF'. The step failed.
The particular user that keeps defaulting here has been removed from our Network/SQL system completely. I have tried several things but can't seem to get anything to work. HELP!!

Not sure exactly what you are asking me here. I am new to SQL2005, and training classes keep getting canceled. I’m learning by trial and error….and reading. Under the SQL Server Configuration Manager I have changed the following to
SQL Server running w/log on as = ADSQLAdminSQL Server Analysis Services running w/logon as = ADSQLAdminSQL Server Agent running w/logon as = ADSQLAdmin Originally they were set to the departed user that the SETUSER is attempting to use.
