we installed SQL server 2000 on windows 2008 R2 64bit and its working fine

SQL server service pack 4 and latest cumulative updates are installed too.

we want to use performance monitor tools (perfmon.exe) to view sql server 2000 counters

is there a way to do this ?

any idea would be appreciated . thanks in advance

Dear Luis Thank you so much for helping

our sqlserver is 2000 x86 but our OS is Windows 2008 R2 X64
the article you gave is about showing counters x86 on x64 (non-related to windows issue)

what we have here is that Windows 2008 r2 for some reason will now show sql 2000 counters ( As u cannot use activity monitor for 2000 in SQL Management Studio )
but it work fine with MSSQL$2008 .

if anyone knows about this and how to get it there please help us

(and thanks again luis for your welcome and your help ;))
