    We have an immediate opening for a MS/SQL Database Administrator for IBM bangalore...Supporting an application/testing team

    of 300+ developers, Handling 100+ separate database instances sizing 300+ GB

    Experience: 3+ years hardcore MSSQL DBA experience

    Job Description...

    Handling database related service requests
    Database installation and Configuration
    Troubleshooting database connectivity issues
    Performance tuning of databases
    Handling database migration from DB2 & Oracle
    Database upgrade for QA, performance & scalability teams
    Database backup creation for various languages (17+ supported)
    user/space management
    Good knowledge of SQL and shell scripting (Windows for SQL Server)

    I don't think this is restricted to a particular origin and you can contact the originator directly if you're interested. Moreover Bangalore is one of the pleasant city in India thriving as an IT hub to the world.

    Then good luck and I belive work permit visa is required. Additional requirements are: work permit approval from the Immigration Department in Sri Lanka.

    I feel common salary range is not we are looking for, but the thing is what
    IBM india is going to offer.
    BTW Dinesh my all best wishes are with you.
    Even i feel this offer is not meant only for indians otherwise prakash would have not posted it here instead of other indian job sites.

    In IBM, Bangalore I guess it will be in a range of INR 50 to 60,000 per month.

    I feel range of 50-60 is ofcourse best in market but they will i think bargain on that and not gonna pay that mauch as they require 3+yrs exp guy so the range could be 40 to 50k and even that range would be considered based on the current CTC.
    So if its above 35 current they might give offer of 50k.

    I've given that figure being one of my friend is working in IBM Bangalore.

    I hope it is clear from other replies, as I'm bit out of touch about that information and as it referred above getting 50k per month in Bangalore you can lead a good life.
