   Is it possible to fetch the data like
   select . from table_name
   one of my friend faced the question in interview. I don't know whether is . or Dot.

   To be honest, this just looks like a typo to me. I might be wrong, but I don't think a SELECT . FROM table is valid syntax.

   Correct, in T-SQL you get an "Invalid syntax" error.
