Hi again, I am interesting in some tools that allow integration / deploying with source control and, maby, you can help me. I need some recomandation if know about that. Thanks, Jack Bower software developer IATAR Studio http://iatar.port5.com
SQLDBControl is quite a good tool http://www.sqldbcontrol.com/Default.aspx Also has its own query editor with built-in intellisense. Does versioning and deployment. I find it handy.
Check the software spotlight articles in thsi website that gives you more information of usage of such third party tools. Hi, Thanks for imformation but i am looking in something with good supporting system. Thomas did you use that application? I read some things about that but i am not sure. Does anyone of you some opinion about this tools, or another ones? Thanks, Jack Bower software developer IATAR Studio http://iatar.port5.com
Yes, I use it Jack. It does a similar job to source safe for SQL objects (SPs, triggers, functions, etc). It's pretty good.
Yes, this one sounds good. What i didn't find about it is: SQLDBControl allow me to write only t-sql code? It has a 'generator' of C# or VB code? I have found another one, so far, now comparing the products. I will install both demos to make an opinion. Thanks, Jack Bower software developer IATAR Studio http://iatar.port5.com
Hi, Yes. this application is pritty cool. I installed it last night and play with it. Another is this one http://www.apexsql.com/downloads.asp#code. http://www.apexsql.com/sql_tools_code.asp I didn't played to much with last one, but seems that it has more cool things. I see that it knows about c# and vb script, but I myself didn't try those to see the results. Did any one knows somethign about about this apexsql code? Its seems a little expencive than SQLDBControl. Some advice would be helpful. Thanks, Jack Bower software developer IATAR Studio http://iatar.port5.com
