    Dear all,
We are using sql server 2000 on clustered configuration. for last fews we are getting a log of sql server.
SQL Server has encountered 6 occurrence(s) of IO requests taking longer than 15 seconds
to complete on file [R:program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQLdata<MyDB>.MDF]
    in database [MyDB] (13).
The OS file handle is 0x000003A8.
The offset of the latest long IO is: 0x00000015930000
anybody knows why is this log coming. there is no issue in reading for the hard disk i think. please guide me to dig the issue to find the root cause.

This message simply means that an IO request took a long time (more than 15 seconds) to complete. That might happen either because of many IO requests at the same time (and therefore resulting in disk queues), or just a query performed on a lot of data (resulting in many IO's).
I wouldn't worry about this too much, unless you have performance issues in which case you should run a trace to identify the queries resulting in those long IO requests.
