    Lead SQL Server DBA/Developer
    The EMC Microsoft Practice provides business driven IT professional services integrating Microsoft and related technologies. With unparalleled Microsoft subject matter expertise, EMC Microsoft Practice helps customers provide, access, share, manage, secure, and support information on the Microsoft platform.

    •Demonstrated experience with SQL server 2005 administration and database support and deployment for .NET applications.
    •5 plus years of progressive experience administering and supporting SQL Server environments. Must have knowledge of MS SQL Sever best practices.
    •Strong experience in database Backup, Restore and Recovery procedures.
    •Hands on experience with SQL Management Studio, Profiler, Data Transformation Services.
    •Strong SQL programming skills including, developing testing T-SQL stored procedures queries.
    •Experience in tuning and analyzing SQL Server databases for performance.
    •Performance monitoring experience using Windows Performance Monitor and MS SQL Server Profiler.
    •Experience in managing users and security privileges.
    •Experience with database replication scenarios is strongly desired. Roles and Responsibilities:
    oAccountable for the performance, maintenance, synchronization, security, and accessibility of production database systems with demonstrated proficiency in database replication, backup and restore, performance tuning and scalability.
    oDeploy database objects including tables, stored procedures, views, privileges and functions with extensive use of T-SQL programming.
    oTroubleshoot system issues, monitor scheduled jobs and set up maintenance plans for proactively monitoring the performance of all SQL Server databases including monitoring failed and long running MS SQL Server jobs.
    oMonitor, tune, and analyze database performance and allocate server resources to achieve optimum database performance.
    oSetup new MS SQL Server instances and databases.
    oDetailed documentation of MS SQL Server system environment, setup, maintenance and standards, including versioning of schema changes.
    oCapacity planning of database servers.
