Linked server creation fails using MSDORA provider

Hi All ,
A collegue of mine was trying to set up linked server to oracle and seems he is getting messed up as described below....
Env :
1>10g R2 Oracle server with the MDAC component version 10.2.0.1
2> 10g R2 Oracle server with MDAC compnenet version 10.2.0.2 or 10.2.0.4
Issue :The issue what he see's is 10.2.0.1 MDAC component gives me an error stating that the MSDORA component is not registered. Currenlty he has not given the version of MSSQL he is on but if you happen to see it any version please post.

The version is 2005 x64 sp 2.

Please install Oracle client on SQL Server 2005 box and try to add Linked server
