    Thanks in advance!
    I am new to SQL Server Development. I will be working on a project which requires a good understanding of SSIS. What are the usual scenarios or tasks I will be given when working on SSIS? Please help!!

    SSIS packages could vary depending on your project requirement. Most probably could be of import/export packages type.
    There are many good articles available on the net related to SSIS and many books are also available(try amazon.com). You can start with them and try to learn package creation of basic types.
