I checked our log shipping monitor, found last backup was 12/5/06 3:01PM, last copy was 8/22/07 8:30AM and last restore was 8/22/07 8:00AM. And then I checked our log shipping alert job found log shipping alert job-backup failed, it said The log shipping source (local).Plandata_Prod has not backed up for 374021 minutes. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 14420). The step failed. it means that it hadn't work since 12/5/06. Is any body give me adea how to fix this issue? Thanks very much! Jessie

Thank you to give me that very valued link, the issue shoud be backup not updated on log shipping monitor since all the log shipping jobs are all run successfully but backup alert job failed. Thanks again! Jessie
As referred in second KBA this is an informational message, you might some get on log shipping monitor specific to MDAC tools. If your backups & restore operations are working fine then you shouldn't worry about it.
