hi all I have read it some where but am still in dilemma in logshipping is failove is manuall or automatic in 2005. and If we have replication setup on primary and if something happends how would replication would be taken care of in secondary I would be thankful if you guys come up with some suggestion. Hi, You have to perform failover manually, refer Log Shpping,failover in BOL for more information and steps If you have replication setup on primary server and if primary server fails, replication won't continue refer http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms151224.aspx and it is suggested to use Database Mirroring in this case.
