Or, another option is to use a T-SQL Developer Tool that has the language reference built in....like MySQL....
But, a PDF or Help file would work OK...don't have a lot of space for books...
    Thanks..

BOL has very smart T-SQL reference with huge examples , try to use it
if you installed BOL for sql 2005 , you can find it on
    ms-help://MS.SQLCC.v9/MS.SQLSVR.v9.en/tsqlref9/html/e3d96e5c-0c24-45a5-bbdd-d879f7eee125.htm
in sql 2000 , you can find chm file in the help directory for t-sql reference

I found one but it has an extension of HsX.....not HTM...I"m not sure what to open that file with?

HSX is the extension of help2, and when you instal documentation of sql server 2005,2008 you can browse help using help tool.
run SSMS , click help menu , in search box write "Transact-SQL Reference (Transact-SQL) "
    or
click contents -> sql server 2005 books online-> SQL server language reference -> transact-sql reference
