Merge Repliation without snapshot

    Hi,

    i have a more than 900MB of Database size, and i need to synchronizetwo database servers over the internet using Merge Replication. when itry to send the snapshot over internet, it is failing to initialize.
    Isthere way, that i could take the backup of publisher DB , and restoreit on the Subscriber Server, and then start synchronizing, instead ofsending the snapshot again ?

    There is no option in Merge Replication to, Change to publisher properties - initialize from backup to true.
    any help will be appreciated ?

    Are you using merge replication using the HTTP replication or websynchronization method ?
