   When I tried to connect to 1 instance of sql server by QA i got the following error.
   [microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBMSLPCN]Sql server does not exist or access is denied
   What is the error and how should I fix this.

   I feel it may be that you just have general network problems such as a faulty switch.
   Take help of this KBAhttp://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;310099 to query the ports used to troubleshoot TCP/IP connections.
