Mid Level SQL Server DBA in Chicago

We are looking for SQL Server Database Administrator to join our database team and assist with design and development of database solutions, database maintenance/monitoring. You will work with internal database and software developers, sysadmins, and business users to help with requirements, design/develop solutions, support and maintain internal database applications.
We are a small, flexible and stable startup technology company located downtown Chicago, offering rewarding environment, competitive salary and excellent benefits. Ideally you would live in Chicago area, have 2-5 years of professional experience in database administration and development (SQL Server 2000) and be interested in independence, responsibility and flexibility that smaller companies offer. Our technical expectations include understanding of SQL Server architecture (locking ,transactions, internal data structures), knowledge of disaster recovery, performance optimization and tuning techniques. Very good opportunity to grow professionally, learning some Oracle (if you have such desire) and generally move outside of "DBA box".
