Mirroring in XP machine?

Guys,
I have 2 xp machine (SP2), one is in physical machine and another in vmware over the same machine. I installed SQL server developer edition (sp3) in both the machine and try to mirror a database. After set up the mirror, i start the mirror button, it thow error. Bothe the machines are NOT in domine, it is using a common local user to start the SQL service. The user is like (first server ipuser1, second server ip user1), since i created a user in both the machine but IP's are ofcorse different. Do it the proble? if yes how can we resolve this issue?
