    Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good tool or monitoring software that can monitor SQL Server infrastructure (abt 100+ servers globally). Just something to quickly identify SQL Server and resource areas where performance degradation originates like blocking locks, deadlocking, failed index maintenance etc.

    Thanks,
    Chrno

We use SQLCentric. You can google it and download. I think its www.pearlknows.com I know it has all the features you mention. It's simple to use and the alerts are pretty detailed. The costs are pretty good per instance!
Most of our servers are local, but since it is web-based I assume it can be for global servers.
    Hope that helps.

I second SQL_Jr's reference on SQLCentric, it is one of the economical tool available that will do the 'monitoring' you are looking after. Still there are many review articles in this site that can help you, refer on Software spotlight section on thsi website.
