MSSQL Service in cluster

    Hello,
    I am having a two node MSSQL 2005 cluster running on windows 2003 OS cluster. If I stop SQL service on active node, will the passive node take-off and start accepting traffic.
    Anyone please advice an I am new to this.

    Hello Deepak,
    The passive node is supposed to take over whenever a primary server experiences a failure.

    Are you only DBA over there and taken charge recently?
    Are you trying to test out the failover of clustered in this case?
