Hi there One of my prime database on the production server is failing to be backed up because of backup device errors. Is is possible that i rename the presently existing back up device and create a new backup device with same name. What all the points should i keep in mind . And is it possible or not what i am thinking of doing. this is a production issue. Please help my prime database is not getting backed up. Thanks Danny
Yes you can drop that device and create a new one, before that check what kind of errors are thrown during the backup process. Why don't you use backup to a file instead of backup devices?
