Oh, that just reminded me: Please bring to Munich Land's End Long Sleeve Oxford Dress Shirt (L size) in addition to book and t-shirt. <img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-1.gif' alt=':)' /><br /><br />Is sql-server-performance.com log printed on the t-shirt? I would like to make my new ORACLE colegues nervous wearing that t-shirt while they are explaining customers that there is no db server but ORACLE.

I try to visit all the SQL Server forums at times. This and SQLTeam are my favorites.

Ranjit, we all started where you are at. Keep contributing and learning. The forums have helped me learn a LOT over the years.

    True enough!
Neither post count, nor some forum status and not even the MVP letters in my signature can be viewed as a sign of quality answer by definition. Each post should be evaluated separately. And sometimes a guy making the first post has the "spot on" answer, while guys with xxx posts fail to deliver a correct answer. but after all, it's all about contribution, discussion and learning.

My own experience is that knowledgeable people do like to share their expertise.
It's just something about their work environment that discourages this natural inclination.
Knowledge is power... when it is equally shared to gain.

Has anyone played civilization? My strategy was to early establish communication with each civilization and to allways exchange civilization advances <img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-1.gif' alt=':)' /><br /><br />I think it is good strategy in real life too. You gain as much as you contribute: knowledge, friends, respect, even new (business) opportunities.

Interesting comparison. [<img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-1.gif' alt=':)' />] I've only played Diablo. Does this count, too? Well, I know nothing about Diablo. Maybe you can share your knowledge about it <img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-5.gif' alt=';)' />
  17. FrankKalis Moderator

Okay, but I must confess that I cheat when playing. I like to play in some kind of God modus, so I just can walk through the game and get everything out of my way that might come across. I've made the experience that this kind of playing is much better for my nerves. Especially when you a bit older like me. Diablo is definitely child's play - you know: two sticks, a cord attached to one end of each stick, and a |><| shaped thingy that you must keep rolling on the cord, you let the diablo jump into the air and have to catch it again, keeping it rolling?
  20. FrankKalis Moderator

Is this also called diablo? I know what you mean, but I can't remember what we call it here.
