I had a sql 2005 box choke yesterday, buffer cache was fine but proc cache went from 90 to 45. I had rebuilt stats over weekend for all db's Since the sql 2000 command for memusage went away waht would be the best source for sql 2005 to look at the objects in proc cache. While I am at it, I used the SQL 2000 optimization Guide By J Fields for 2000 for performance monitoring, has anyone found a 2005 book useful on this subject?
