OLAP server Connections

    Hi all,
    Is it true that connections to the OLAP server can only be made using a Windows Account?
    Is there a way to setup those connections to the OLAP using a Standard Account?

    Yes, It's true that one can connect to Microsoft OLAP server only using Windows authentication and the user should be in administrator or SQL olap group

    I agree you won't be able to 'log on' to the OLAP service using a SQL Server login, only with a Windows account. But wouldn't the connection be made under the account under which the SQL service itself is running?
