SQL Server Performance

'PAGEIOLATCH_SH' problem

    There was a job that that has run and still in executing state from 1 and half day
    I see that there is a process in Activity Monitor with waittype 'PAGEIOLATCH_SH' with command 'open cursor' and is being blocked by itself(if I see the spid number blocking it)
    As far as I can understand, latch should not be for so long adn there is something wrong.
    At a glance,
    Disk reads/sec : Last:1186 Avg:1563 Min:61 Max: 3612
    Disk writes/sec :Last: 783 Avg: 969 Min:237 Max:3177
    Any suggestion on what should be my next course of action?
