I am passing a filename to the dtsexec.exe
The problem is that the filename has a space in between so I can not use 'csa.csv' instead it is 'c sa.csv'
    What is the alternative please?

Probably the package has been save with EncryptSensitive on the protection level, refer to this KBA for more information.

I think you replied just before I edited the post.

    :) that explains the confusion.
You would create the filename variable at the package level and use it in the flat file connection. alos make sure would like to return (preferably fully qualified if you are using this with a flat file connection), go to the variables tab and choose your variable name (User::FileName which should be declared at the package level). In your flat file connection go to your expressions and choose connectionstring as the property to edit. Select the User::FileName as the variable.

    Done that already.
I have a SP which executes the ssis package.
    uspCEMTradeExecutePackage 'd:sysapplCEMSSISImportsTradescsa.dtsx', '"CSA data.csv"'
This works if the filename does not have a space but not in the case I placed above.
