SQL Server Performance

Patching n+1 active/active SQL 2005 Cluster

    So, I've read the readme (section 3.2.5) and am a little confused... it says to patch the primary node. Which is the primary node in the following setup:
    db1 - runs active HR database
    db2 - runs active FIN database
    db3 - runs nothing

    Welcome to the forum.
    As Preethi pointed out you need to give more information in terms of number of cluster nodes (active and passive) you have in your environment.
    In any case as per your post for all service pack installations best to go with README.HTML that gives more information, firstly you need to apply the patch on active node and then on passive one.
