peer to peer replication with private network

    Hi, i want to install sql 2008 enterprise on two nodes and setting up a peer to peer transactional replication but i want the two instances to use a private network and not the building network. I have to name the instances and configure it on the tcp/ip protocol in the configuration manager by changing the ip with the private one? Any ideas?

    What do you mean by prviate network?
    Is this seperate subnet from existing SQL platform?
