    It happens sometime to me also when using quick reply (as I always use), I will use the method referred by Frank to overcome the issue or close the browser and open the page in new window.

    Hi,
    Even I was getting error two days back for diffrent thread when i was pasting a code.
    The error was "connection was rest by peer" but then when i posted only text message it got posted nicely without me being login and log out again.
    No idea Y ???????????

    are u getting error on that particular thread !? don't know y !? but the error i had got thrice was a DEAD LOCK ERROR else i didn't face problem with forum , what browser you are using ! if IE then is it patch with latest SP and hot fix !

    Strange indeed. We have some kind of policy here to cleans internet content on a regular basis. So it could happen that you move from page to page and when this service runs and deletes your cookie you suddenly have no access anymore. Not sure what that will do while typing a answer and trying to post, though.

    i have do it several times , then re-set all the settings , clear up all cache (local + proxy) , install 3 new browser too (netscape,firefox,opera 9 ) but its hardluck , :-(

    That is a flood control feature in most forums.Without that someone can continuously post in a row in a single thread .Some automated tools also there which does automatic posts in an interval.Flood control prevents that

    This is a custom setting. The forum admin can choose to activate it or not. He can also set the time interval. Usually there should be no problem at all with it.

    Just a shot in the dark, but have you run a full spyware scan ?

    I have known some spyware to hook into your browser and actually modify what is being POSTed. Some worms will even attempt to deploy an exploit by piggybacking your POST

    What is the simplest script which fails ?
    Maybe there is some server side software which is preventing the post, by falsely identifying the SQL as some sort of injection attack?

    Like I say, just some ideas, Im sure this will all come up clean

    Yes. I am also not able to post there. I think the problem is xp(underscore)cmdShell
    I cant use underscore symbol directly

    Since there are older threads where you could type in xp_cmdshll, there must have something changed to the server recently. And only Brad can answer this.

    not only in xpUnderScoreCMDSHELL but it happens with spUNDERSCOREhelptext , is this a problem with UNDERSCORE ?! with prefix of sp or xp ?!
