Problems Installing a Named Instance on Active Passive Cluster

I am trying to install a named instance on an existing Active Passive SQL 2005 EE cluster. In cluster administrator I created a new reource group and placed 3 new volumes in it. The install was on the last portion of trying to start the services at the end and it then gave me this error.
The setup has encountered an error while Upgrading Components. The
error:-2147019873
Error message: The group or resource is not in the correct state to
perform the requested operation.
Then I clicked finish. Now in the resource group all components are listed and the services are in the services.msc but they wont start. I dont know what I need to do to start them or how to install without getting that error. Any Help would be great I am up against a wall.
