I upgraded our server to 2 processors. SQL Server was originally installed to run under 1 processor. In the properties tab it still reads 1 processor. How can I make it read 2 processors?
what type of server is it? On some servers you also need to run an upgrade on the driver software, since the hal is different for a uni-processor versus a multi-processor box. You'd have to check with the hardware vendor on what is required... are both processors showing up in Perfmon/task manager? Cheers Twan
If task manager see two processor, then try to reinstall last SP. Luis Martin Moderator SQL-Server-Performance.com
The processor is showing under perfmon. I think when SQL Server was installed it was under 1 processor license.
That could be the razon. Check if was per processor or WS. Luis Martin Moderator SQL-Server-Performance.com
