Profiler hangs when trying to connect to local AS Server

After I click on the "New Trace" button and fill the connection dialog in order to make a trace of the Analysis Server which is running on the same machine as the profiler, the tool hangs.
I use Windows Authentication. The service is configured as "Local System". I am able to connect to AS by using the Management Studio.
I have just reinstalled the OLEDB Provider for AS 9.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks a lot.

What is the service pack on Analysis services and client tools you have?
Any error or warning message on SQL error log or event viewer log?

Looks like overloaded server without enough Memory .
    Intresting know the cause ...

OLAP - means you should have sufficient memory to perform such actions, it might be mismatch of drivers and may be a required service pack to upate.

The server is actually a Dell Inspiron laptop, with 1GB RAM; and the memory is not saturated.
    The service pack is SP2.
As I said before, the analysis service runs locally as the sql profiler.
