This might not be the best forum but I found this to be most suitable: The database I've made needs some extensive optimalization on certain parts of it and I don't feel qualified even to take these decicions on my own. I have created the entire system myself, but it really has some intense needs and I'm not sure if I'm able to fix it all. What I need is a person or company that has *good* experience in query/database-optimalization, preferably in the greater London-area. Does anybody know of such a person/company, have links maybe? References? -- Frettmaestro "Real programmers don't document, if it was hard to write it should be hard to understand"

Thanx Brad, just sent him an email through the website (that btw needs some updating!). Is he a friend of yours? Do you know him/his work well? -- Frettmaestro "Real programmers don't document, if it was hard to write it should be hard to understand"
I don't know Neil personally, but he has written some articles for my website and he is very sharp. ----------------------------- Brad M. McGehee, MVP Webmaster SQL-Server-Performance.Com
Frettmaestro May I have further information about the Company/Consultation details. I'm can help optimizing the database, if not can refer my friend who is between jobs now. Email: satyaskj@yahoo.co.uk _________ Satya SKJ Moderator SQL-Server-Performance.Com
Hi Frettmaestro, I may also be able to help. I am currently on contract, but I may still be able to help out. I have SQL Server at home as well, so can do some work from home too if needed. I've been using SQLServer since v4.2, and have been a MCDBA since v6 my email address is twan.van.beers@xtra.co.nz, I can send you a full cv if you like. Cheers Twan
I somehow lost my subscription to this post so I haven't recieved notification about the updates since I was last here. I apologize for not replying sooner. Brad: after contacting Neil Boyle I was referred to Tony Rogerson because Neil was just to busy. Tony Rogerson who happened to be a SQL-Server MVP came over here one day, worked his magic and left. This was about a week ago and since then I have been seen walking around with a constant smile on my face. It was just amazing the things he did, and even though it probably was just a walk in the park for him (and maybe would have been for you guys aswell) the differences was just mindblowing. He charged a good deal of money for a days work but if I had known what he could do I could have paid him twice what he got... Satya and Twan: thanx for the offers but as you see, things have worked out...for now. The database still needs alot of tuning but hopefully I'll be able to tweak a little myself now.I got rid of the major bottlenecks. -- Frettmaestro "Real programmers don't document, if it was hard to write it should be hard to understand"
<br />Great to hear that you got it sorted <img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-5.gif' alt=';-)' /><br /><br />Goodluck with the tweaking...<br /><br />Cheers<br />Twan
