SQL Server Performance

ram specification

    hi,

    i am using windows2003 and sql 2000 standard edition.
    The maximum capacity of sql engine in this situation is 2gb of ram.
    If i have say 4 gb of ram, can operating systme use it or any amount of
    ram beyond 2gb is will not be used os or sql.

    Yes SQL Standard edition uses is limited to use only 2GB and the remaining RAM will be controlled by Windows2k3.
