SQL Server Performance

'read-only' subscribers

    I need to make sure that our subscribers are 'read-only' so that users can only SELECT. My question is: If I set the database properties to 'read-only' will replication still be able to update the transactions?

    What's the easiest way to make sure the database is truly 'read-only?'

    I think you can configure publisher to use one account and allow only that user to have access to subscriber and not use that account in your application..
