RessourceGovernour level out time ??

I set up a workload group with a resource pool associated who limits cpu usage to 30 % in a sql 2008 r2 environment.

When I start now 1 session in default pool (cpu 100 %) and a bit later the same workload as a user who gets into my created workload group, sql server needs ~ 2 min. to level out the cpu usage until it comes to 70/30 scenario as desired.

    Is this behavior normal ?

That would mean high cpu scenarios < 2 min. will never be leveled out by resource governour ??

    Thanks for your input

Usually when it comes to create a resource pool under SQL Server 2008,2008R2 or 2012 and assign it to a certain login , all current connections using this login will stay using the default resource pool “Default” and any further connections will starting using your new customized resource pool of 30 % CPU consumption

Kindly let me know if any further help is needed
