    Hi guys,

today i got my PowerValut220, while configuring i got a few questions where i will need help from you guys

    write policy: write throug/write back
This machine is hosting database for site which is read intensive (this is dedicated DB server), and while doing some research i read from a site that "write throug" will be good for fast read. What you guys suggest.

    read policy: no_readahead/readahead/adaptive
No idea about this, what is recommended?

    cache policy:cachecd io/direct io
same no idea for this what is suggested?

    All feedback are welcome.

i am inclined to recommend direct io, not cached io, but i will not have definitive explanation for each choice for a few weeks

properly setup for transactions, read ahead should be disabled
write back is helpful, but this needs to be verified as not overriding direct io
