I have a sql cluster on WIN 2003 machine. Each machine with 8GB RAM
    and AWE enabled
The following is the setting of max server memory (MB)
    min 4
    max 2147483647
    config_value 7987
    run value 7987

Is these values are acceptable for my scnerio.Pls suggest

i would watch Memory-&gt<img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-4.gif' alt=';P' />ages/sec<br /><br />and also how the other services behave, <br />without more detailed analysis, i might like to suggest that you back off somewhat,<br />perhaps 7.5x1024 = 7680MB,<br />but this is just a guess without being able to look at your counters in more detail<br /><br />i do not think this will affect your SQL buffer cache hit rate, but may or may not improve other aspects of system response
