    I love statistics.
    No SQL, of course.

    Some about our Forum:

    Members with no post: 44,22%
    Members with no countries: 49,78%
    Number of differentes countries: 83[:0]

    Members with countries:

    1) USA : 38,95%
    2) India : 14,31%
    3) UK : 10,77%
    4) Canada : 3,85%
    5) Australia: 2,61%

    Rest of 78 : 29,51% (Yes, I have details[8D])

    As you know, when we work with statistics, we have to eliminate values outside of population, specially high values[}<img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-1.gif' alt=':)' />].     I suppose the quite half of the group would also most likely be the ones without a 'public' residence. In life, anonymity always precedes silence and lurking is never really considered polite. The membership and activity herein just reflects the obvious: technology drives need - for whatever. Language (English) is also a major factor in the current distribution of the statistics here.

    I always knew I would be 'a statistic' one day.

    And I didn't realize how widespread SQL server 'problems' were. While you are still in a statistical mood, Luis, would you please give us the tally of posts by category by region (country or continent). It would be interesting to have a qualitative look at the implementation of Server-based solutions - albeit from the problematic point of view. Please oblige us.

    North America, 56.36%
    Europe: 22.27%
    Asia: 12.31%
    Oceania (Australia): 4.41%

    Satya, you would quickly discover that no amount of posting can unfreeze a rock-hard sub-zero database. You would be doomed eternally to using Analysis services with ice cubes and rollup jackets. Just stick with the good 'ol Queen.

    Perhaps you could help out with the African count. It is always summer here and there are no complex SQL Server issues to grapple with: Just the occasional slow internet connection and the risk of your post timing out on Brad's server. Welcome.

    I love Germany beer[8D].
    About log normal distributed and standard desviation, statistics are very old now. I have to start again from the begining (and statistics was made page by page!!!!)
    I you have a way (Brad's way) to have an excel with all data, I'll be happy to do that.

    Can you break down the United Kingdom statistics to tell us how many are Scottish, and how many are English?

    I'm Scottish obviously, and I guess Satya is too, but a break down would be nice if possible. Come to think of it, Satya are you a Glasgow ned or an Edinburgh casual?

    Certainly preferable to German beer. But you can't compare it to English Beer when you have such fine beers as this

    Luis....while you are still busy trying to hack that Excel spreadsheet on the statistics, it would be interesting to know how many posts were NOT made under the influence (of beer, wine or any other liquid poison).

    Kenyan Beer? No comment....but I know a few folks in South London (UK) who have been heard singing praises long after the hangover is gone.

    I just mailed out 14 packages today, so if you have posted 250+ messages, you should see a package arrive at your door soon.

    Of these 14 packages, 4 went to the US, 3 to the UK, 2 to Canada, and the rest to other countries. These included Mexico, Sweden, Germany, Argentina, and Italy.

    These 14 packages had 30 different shirts as awards.

    The two top posters, each of which received 4 shirts, was Satya and Luis.

    The most expensive package to ship was to Luis, who lives in Argentina. It cost US $29.45 to send.
