Hi all, I just installed sql 2005 ent x64 sp3 and ssis 2008. When I try to connect to ssis from management studio I get: Connect to SSIS Service on machine "xxx" failed: The specified service does not exist as an installed service. The service is installed and running, might be the name of the service be a problem? "SQL Server Integration Services 10.0" Any help is highly appreciated. TIA acki
Even though that doesn't make sense but that's "BY DESIGN" SSMS 2005 to SSIS 2005 and SSMS 2008 to SSIS 2008. Lot of People have raised their concern via Microsoft connect and logged it as a BUG but there are no +ve results yet. If I can connect to an instance of 2005 database engine instance from SSMS 2008 WHY NOT SSIS 2005. SSMS is just a tool for managing enviornment in efficient and effective manner, but this limits manageability.
