Well, we have a SQL cluster setup as active/passive, W2K + SQL2K (sp3). We need to do some loading test on this box to evaluate its capacity. We already have AWE enabled with 8GB. Our disk is SAN. My question is:-

    1. Which address Performance Monitor should use to monitor the box, the virtual IP address or the active server ip.
    2. Any recommend counters? I understand that with AWE enabled, counters should be slightly different from those for normal box.
    3. what's the hreshold for each counter?

    thanks, Lan

Although nature commences with reason and ends in experience it is necessary for us to do the opposite, that is to commence with experience and from this to proceed to investigate the reason.
