    SQL Developer
    Location: New York

    Vibrant Media is seeking a Microsoft SQL Developer to work as part of the New York based business systems team to deliver global technology developments.

    This SQL Developer will support existing code and databases and develop new systems for traffic analytics, revenue and reporting. This person will work alongside the .Net development team to analyze, design and deliver requirements from the Sales, Finance and Operations teams. This position will report to and will prioritize work established by the Systems Development Manager.

    • 5-7+ years of SQL database development experience in a high transaction and multi server production environment, current experience with SQL 2005.
    • Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of the following functions essential functions using SQL 2005:
    • Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, including transactions, begin..try…, bulk insert, FT searching
    • Experience with very large databases (>1TB)
    • Partitioned Tables/Indexes
    • Full Text Indexing
    • Performance tuning
    • Replication (transactional)
    • SSIS – importing text files and XML files. Using Loop containers and package configurations
    • Experience with reporting services application which would include creating reports, handling permissions, installing, configuring and troubleshooting
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to accomplish critical business objectives.
    • Must also be able to make decisions under pressure.
    • Communicate effectively and maintain honest and open communication at all times with individuals outside Vibrant Media and at all levels internally.
    • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours (if necessary) to accomplish business objectives.
    The following skills are helpful but not essential requirements for the DBA development role:
    • Prior experience as a DBA
    • Unicode knowledge
    • DBA or Development experience with accounting/financial systems
    • Experience of developing proprietary MIS/Reporting applications
    • Hardware knowledge (HP/Dell – any SAN’s)
    • OLAP
    • MySQL
    • Clustering
    •.NET programming
    • Great Plains, MS Dynamics

    I should say well articulated job posting advertisement, it would sum up more if they mention the pay scale too [:0].

    If I was a recruiter I wouldn't mention this in a publicly available source, too. Let the candidates tell and see if they sell themselves well or under value. [;)]
