    hi all,
we have a webserver which talk to sql sever 2000(which is a clustered). We recently upgraded mcafee from version 8.0 to 8.5. once we did this, we are facing some slowness and script timeout in the web pages. once we disabled mcafee and tested, we are not facing the same scenario. I have checked all the port blocking and also included all the sql server folders in the exclusion list. But once we enable the mcafee, we are facing the same problem. We also have windows 2003 with mcafee 8.5 , which is causing no problem. I am not sure any performance or compatabily issue with windows 2000 + mcafee 8.5 combination. Any one using combination and working fine ????.. any suggestions or any fix ?. [:'(]

You have both the version up and running, study and analyze configuration for server and services on both the server. Also, check with the AV company. BTW did you check if the AV is configure to scan for every incoming/outgoing transaction!! If this the case this could be the reason, even if you exclude your SQL Server/DB folder it scans every transaction happens on network so this could make difference.
