    Overall, the Database Administrator will assist in design, securing, and optimizing information repositories. This individual will architect database schemas for scalability and performance using Microsoft SQL Server. Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

    Responsibilities include:

    •Participating in all aspects of the software development process including application design, coding, testing, and deployment.
    •Design MS SQL databases making use of clusters, RAID, replication, or other technologies.
    •Write stored procedures for applications, and modify applications written in VB .net to use stored procedures.
    •Optimize databases for batch processing of large data files.
    •Optimize databases for reporting with Microstrategy and SQL Reporting Services.
    •Implement replication of databases for redundancy and recovery.
    •Administer MS SQL databases including backup and restore, security, replication, and data transformation.
    •Supporting production systems and resolving related issues promptly.
    •Assisting software engineers with the maintenance and improvement of Company#%92s technology. Assist with administration of network infrastructure.


    1.4 years experience working with software development.
    2.Minimum of 2 years experience as Database Administrator of MS SQL Server.
    3.Prior experience: Designing relational database schemas; MS SQL Server, SQL, replication, and stored procedures; database security, data integrity, and data backup/restore.
    4.Working knowledge of Visual Basic .net.
    5.Bachelors degree in related field or Microsoft Certified Database Administrator required.
    6.Team-oriented, ability to handle multiple tasks at once, and meet deadlines.
    7.Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of health insurance industry.
