    Hello Team, Can any one help me with tools & techniques to do the peroformance tuning apart from the below list

    Tools
    • Profiler
    • Database Tuning advisor
    • Execution plan analysis
    Techniques
    • Creating Clustered & Non- Clustered indexes
    • Rebuilt indexes on Index fragmentation
    • Covered indexes
    • Avoiding cursors
    • Avoiding triggers
    • Avoid * from selection statement
    • Make sure frequent where condition columns should be indexed

    Performance Tuning is a big article and normally it is composed of 3 phases :

    · Capture Expensive queries using DMV (Much preferable) or using profiler
    · Analysis using DTA (database tuning advisor) (Fundamental way) or Query execution plan (Advanced way ) which is more granular for any DB analyst to reach to a robust performance proposal
