    Senior SQL Server DBA
    Minneapolis, MN
    SQL Server versions that are supported include 2000, 2005 and 2008.
    -This DBA will be more focussed on internal development of policies and procedures as well as automation of routine SQL Server task, rather than production support

    -This SQL Server DBA now needs a greater database development background

    Why: internal development duties
    -this DBA to develop code for the automation of installations, testing of compliance to standards
    -develop SLA (Service Level Agreements)
    -develop code for service contracts & catalogs
    -develop code to enforce rules based on standards

    KEY- this DBA will need to have experience with MS Project in order to be able to keep track of what tasks they are working on and the progress

    -this DBA will need to have an ability to work on a team and to run projects (see the internal development duties above)

    KEY-This DBA needs to have the ability to lead projects, give direction and have a take charge type of attitude

    KEY-This DBA will need to write these codes via CLR (Common Language Run Time). The code can be written in OO language such as VB.Net or C#.

    *This position is more inward facing for the DBA team to better improve processes

    *This DBA will be the primary DBA writing the code to make the change...they then will need to have the take charge attitude to implement the change and successfully work with the other team members to follow the new processes
    Job Description
    Responsible for planning, coordinating, and administration of databases, including database definition, structures, documentation, upgrades, recovery, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection.
    Key Responsibilities
    Manages corporate data resources by formulating policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, by monitoring transaction activity and utilization, and by conducting ongoing database. performance tuning.

    Develops database architecture solutions by applying best practice database design and system integration techniques to determine appropriate database architecture.

    Protects database integrity by establishing and maintaining database security integrity controls and conducting periodic quality control audits to ensure proper usage of data.

    Position Qualifications
    -Bachelor of SCience required with Masters Degree highly desired
    -7 + years SQL Server DBA experience
