Table Archiving and Partitioning

    Hi guys
    What is a general rowcount for a table before it needs to get archived or partitioned? If its a table that gets queried quite often?

    I don't think there are hard-coded rules and figures when a table becomes a good candidate for special treatment like you mentioned.It really depends on the whole system, the usage, the workload. etc...
    Are you facing any severe performance and/or maintenance issues?
