SQL Server Performance

    Hello
    I have two SQL2000 serveers running merge replication. SQL03 is the Publisher and SQL04 is the subscriber.

    Now when I check the replication monitor on the SQL03, I often get the error
    <'The process could not query row metadata at the 'Publisher'.>
    and the agent is stopped.

    Can someone tell my what the reason of this error is??

    BTW, what the query timeout settings on Subscriber & Publisher?
    Check any network delays or issues causing this, check SQL error log.
