I keep seeing "The SQLBrowser service was unable to process a client request." appearing in my windows appliocation log.. any ideas as to what this means ? single box, not clustered, one instance of SQL2000 & one of SQL2005 on a win2k3 o.s thanks Simon
Is that a named instance? If so have you configured the TCP ports with specific port number to listen-on, http://blogs.msdn.com/sql_protocols...a-sql-server-named-instance-on-a-cluster.aspx fyi.
the browser is indeed running .. SQL 2000 is the default instance, SQL 2005 a named intance,, Out the box configuration .. I have not changed tcp ports etc thank you simon
Did you check sql server errorlog? If you see any network error post it here to help you better. What sql services pack it is running on?
Hi Ive just gone through throgh the sql server error logs and there are no entries for SQL browser thanks & regards Simon
