URGENT-Transferring data using a timer

    hii everyone.
    i have one database in which there is a field name as "call_time" and anothe field name as "status" and i need to insert this record into another database 4 hours later , 1 hour later and four days later depending on the status(1 or 2 or 3) .This have to be done automatically..
    eg if status=1===> meaning after 1 hour
    eg if status=2===> meaning after 4 hour
    eg if status=3===> meaning after 4 days
    is it posiible to do it using DTS..
    plz give an example if the need for an activex script is required.
    plz help..its very urgent.

    You can schedule a job that runs every hour and queries the table and checks for the status. You can do an appropriate INSERT based on the status.

    Does it have to be exactly 1 hr after? If so , you might need to run the Job more regularly.

    yes it need to run it regularly..

    If so then ensure the process is optimized to finished within stipulated time and next schedule is ready it may not run if any error with current schdule process.
